Gross Weight: The gross weight of the SKU including the material being sold plus the weight of the package. For example, if we sold 352 pounds of a solvent in a drum and the drum itself weighed 40 pounds, the gross weight would be 392. This is often used to calculate shipping costs.

Net Weight: The net weight of the SKU does not include the weight of the package. For example, if we sold 352 pounds of a solvent in a drum, the net weight would be 352 pound. If the item was sold at $1.00 per pound, the total price of the drum would be $352-as we would not charge the customer for the weight of the drum, only the material that they can actually use.
